Research at the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering is broad in scope, ranging from pure chemistry via biotechnology and applied chemistry to chemical engineering. The vision of the department is “Education and research for sustainable development and for improved health and quality of life”. The Department consists of 4 divisions. At Applied Chemistry, one focus of the research is on the development of new materials, especially conjugated polymers and their application in organic electronics.
