Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (NOVA) is the 2nd best-ranked Portuguese university in QS World University Ranking 50 under 50 (2020). The NOVA School of Science and Technology (FCT-NOVA) is one of the nine units of NOVA with 8000 students. FCT-NOVA published about 1000 papers indexed in ISI Web of Science annually, in the last five years, and has a portfolio of around 50 patent families. NOVA.ID.FCT, based at FCT-NOVA, is a private non-profit research organisation devoted to R&D&I activities. This entity provides qualified human resource training, consulting, knowledge dissemination and technology transfer activities. NOVA.ID.FCT has experience in managing FP7 projects and has already been awarded with about 30 H2020 projects adding up to over 12€ million.
